Land surveying is the process of gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data about the physical features and boundaries of a piece of land.
A land survey from Magnolia Land Surveying can help you determine the boundaries of your property, identify any encroachments, and provide you with an accurate legal description of your property.
An Elevation Certificate (EC) is an administrative tool used by the NFIP to provide elevation information necessary to ensure compliance with community floodplain management ordinances; to inform mitigation actions that will lower flood risk; and/or support a request for a LOMA to remove a building from a high-risk flood area. The EC lists a building’s location, lowest point of elevation, flood zone, and other characteristics. Under Risk Rating 2.0: Equity in Action, an EC will no longer be required to purchase coverage. Instead, FEMA will use its tools and resources to determine the first-floor height of a building as one of the factors used when calculating rates.
At Magnolia Land Surveying we pride ourselves on providing excellent services at reasonable prices. Prior to preparing a proposal, we like to research the property and provide an estimate of the potential cost to provide fair prices to each and every client. After a client accepts a proposal and preliminary work is completed, we can then provide a more detailed contract.
While each job is unique, we can ensure that we work with each customer to complete surveys in a timely manner. Our current turnaround time for most survey services is 5-7 business days. Less tedious services such as elevations can be expected to be completed in 1-2 business days.
